Thankfully, the publisher of the game system, Wizards of the Coast, has a free Basic Rules PDF you can download and read through. It will give you an idea of the game mechanics, which only come up in our games every once in a while. It’s a good resource when you’re listening to D&D podcasts like ours, especially when you’re thinking about playing yourself.
